Traditional Chinese Medicine – Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is believed to be practised for over 2000 years ago.
Today acupuncture has become a popular mode of treatment for various health conditions. At Enta we practice a gentle Chinese acupuncture technique. We use the finest quality needles that allow a relaxing calm treatment.
A typical acupuncture treatment will involve the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific points along energy channels in the body. These points have specific functions and are selected by your acupuncturist according to the Chinese Medicine pattern of disharmony.
Your Acupuncturist may also stimulate the acupuncture points using different methods such as acupressure, moxibustion (applying indirect heat from burning a herb), cupping, gua-sha (Scraping), and tuina (Chinese Massage), combined with the use of various liniments and essential oils according to your needs.
As Traditional Chinese Medicine is a holistic therapy, we take in to account the mind, body and soul when treating. As part of your acupuncture treatment you also receive dietary advice and positive lifestyle changes to help the body to achieve a harmonious state.
